Seminar Aims to ProvideFree Forum for Seniors Who Want to Downsize

 Seniors’ Housing Decisions: What to Do Next! -- A seminar for seniors who are contemplating downsizing-- is planned for April 28, 2010, at Perkasie Mennonite Church. This community event is planned to provide a safe place to discuss, explore options, get practical information on real estate issues, and look at the joys and challenges associated with transition, change and financial planning.  Realtor Ron Kolb-Wyckoff,  chaplain Marty Kolb-Wyckoff, and Larry Nolt, financial planner, will provide input and participate in question-answer sessions from 7-9 p.m.

For many seniors, the whole experience of selling the family home and looking at less expensive options is intimidating and it is easy to avoid making decisions.  For others, it is difficult to find concrete information or advice that is not a “sales pitch.” Still others are concerned about making their money last, or providing an inheritancefor their families, and worry about making changes in unstable financial times. Planners hope that hearing each others’ questions and concerns will be encouraging and informative.
