As we seek to model Jesus, Perkasie Mennonite takes seriously Christ’s words encouraging us to feed the hungry, clothe and shelter the needy, comfort the sick and visit the prisoners (Matthew 25:35, 36).
During the summer months, families are invited to gather in the church’s side yard to view an outdoor family movie on a big screen. Popcorn, drinks and other treats are available. Fun is had by all; neighbors enjoy this casual time together. Attendees at the Free Family Film night are encouraged to bring items to include in the church’s MCC School Kit program. Summer 2009 Free Family Film Nights are June 20, July 18 and August 22.
- Perkasie Patchwork Coffeehouse offers participants a time of fellowship and enjoyment of various musical artists. Those who attend not only enjoy unique music but help support various charitable organizations through their ticket purchase.
- The first Saturday of each month finds Perkasie members volunteering at the Souderton Care and Share Thrift Shoppes. Volunteers provide much needed help in sorting and selling clothing and other items to the surrounding community.
- In support of Habitat for Humanity's goal to provide affordable housing, Perkasie Mennonite Church provides much needed storage space for some of their building materials.
- In partnership with Interfaith Hospitality Center, Perkasie Mennonite members help provide care for those needing shelter, food, and transportation in the surrounding community.
